Saddened I donât enjoy this fragrance as I thought I would. I was intrigued by this mango forward scent and itâs not promised by its developers to be a sweet mango scent but I become enveloped in the scents earthiness more than anything. I do love the smell of a mango and maybe with the jasmine notes it gives too much earthiness for me.
As the name suggests itâs to help reminiscent of Bani in D.R. but the sillage doesnât carry for me and it settles oddly in my skin. I wish I enjoyed it but donât. I think if there was daffodil and marigold in the heart and rum and coconut milk in the base it would capture that fresh smell of a mango when you hold it to your nose or when you enjoy a fresh juicy mango on a warm day sitting on your porch smelling how the sun hits your skin and the breeze of trees nearby. I do not get this. I get the smell of a box that had mangoes in it.
The owners do a beautiful job with packaging and include a handwritten note of thanks for supporting the brand.
I have mixed feelings on which is my favorite fragrance from Day 3. I have the discovery set and full bottles of Dominica, Bani and Filosophia. Dominica has that great spicy, boozy amber that just comes through at night. I love this scent. Day 3 is a definitely underrated house.
This is an amazing introduction to the fragrances! I was truly surprised to enjoy each one. Ămbar Dominicano, FilosofĂa and Downtown DejavĂș are my favs, so much so that I purchased a full size bottle of Downtown! It reminds me of being young in the 90s, getting a hug from a cute boy and having his scent lingering on you. Itâs genuinely nostalgic, gender neutral and lingers in the most pleasant way.
You did it again with a great scent! This house cannot stop with making great scents! Another one added to my collection and I could not be happier!
