I read the brief and the notes and thought: "This is such an interesting idea, but will probably be more novel than wearable." I was proved so wrong and couldn't be happier about it. This is impressively wearable, perfectly unisex and long-lasting. Someone else left a review to the effect that it's BOTH clean AND gourmand. Well-blended BUT you can identify those nostalgic notes. Well done DAY THREE!
I lived in Orange County during a very formative time in my life and I have 2 distinct memories from that place. One, there are gorgeous star jasmine flowers all over the place that bloom in the late spring and summer. Two, I took many therapeutic drives down PCH with the window down to fill my lungs with that California coastal air. The first whiff of DAY THREE Del Mar eau de parfum instantly brought me back to that season of my life in the most wonderful way. It is local paradise in a bottle.
By the way, though perfect on their own, Del Mar and Bani are the ultimate fun summer layering combo!
The scent is very good and the oud is very well blended but the longevity and silliage is very poor. I expected more from the scent considering the price tag. I have several other fragrances from this house which perform very well but sadly this one does not.
