We created Ambar Dominicano to bottle the clinking mamajuana bottles passed around every Dominican gathering, and we believe it may be the first fragrance ever inspired by that traditional spiced rum. A pop of cola, lime, and lavender sparks the party up top, then honey-drenched immortelle, davana, and warm spices swirl like late-night music through the heart. Vanilla, patchouli, and a plush amber-musk base anchor this extrait de parfum until sunrise. One spray lasts all day, but the memory lingers longer.

Ambar Dominicano is inspired by the scent of our family bottle of mamajuana; a traditional spiced Dominican rum drink. To my knowledge, it's the first fragrance to be inspired by the drink.

TRULY ARTISAN

Each formula is composed by Day Three perfumer,
Michael Paul. After the formula is written, the perfume is then
compounded in house, and left to macerate on site, in our Arizona lab.

Every single bottle is poured by the perfumer, and assembled by a member of our family. Then, those bottles are labeled and boxed by hand.

Finally, each and every bottle that leaves our lab is accompanied by a personal, hand written thank you note, and a complimentary sample.

Liquid Gold in a Garbage Can

Del Mar is an absolute masterpiece. This fragrance punches waaay above its weight class. You get top tier performance, great projection, and a scent profile that smells like it belongs on the top shelf of a high-end boutique. All at a very reasonable price point.

And then you try to spray it...

It's possible that I just got a defective one, or perhaps the 10ml bottle is of a lower quality than the 50ml, but the atomizer is a criminal offense. Calling this atomizer "cheap" feels like a compliment to actual cheap bottles. A $10 fragrance from Walmart would do a better job.

The fragrance itself is a 5/5 stars all day! But I'm giving it a 4 because of the terrible automizer. I will definitely purchase again; this immediately became my everyday summer fragrance. But I will also be looking into buying a kit to transfer it to another bottle with a better atomizer.

Wonderful Fragrance

I first purchased La Tacita de Cafe which is a fantastic fragrance, but after sampling Midnight Raspberry I knew I wanted a full bottle of this as well. The pink pepper, patchouli, oud, and musk keep the raspberry from coming across too fruity - they darken the scent so the raspberry comes across more tart and slightly sweet. The affect is almost a dark chocolate covered raspberry. This isn't super loud, but announces itself subtly and sits close to the wearer. The longevity is very good. I find it a pleasure to wear Midnight Raspberry - definitely two thumbs up.

Another quality fragrance from Day Three

I was a little skeptical about it being marketed as an enhancer but honestly, it really works just fine on its own. I have tried it with a couple of freshies and it pairs well with everything so far. This is my 4th frag from them and I am happy to have found this house.

THE SCENT IS A 5!! But........

Hey guys I love this scent I am your typical masculineish male who likes action movies and sports. But I also play guitar and like art so I can appreciate this scent and love it. The reason for 3 stars, the sample was alot more potent and projected further than the full bottle for whatever reason. The Bottle looks dumb plain at the time of purchase for $150 and for only 50ml. In my honest opinion no 50ml fragrance is worth over $100, call me cheap but sorry for bringing in some logic. Remember I like art so a nicer bottle would of soften the blow a bit but now its $170. My brain is telling me not to buy ever again but my heart wants it bad. Im torn. Enjoy.
