Just got the discovery set. I liked the midnight raspberry but if you have vertus vanilla oud its extremely redundant. Its actually a compliment because vanilla oud is a 10/10 scent imo. My fav was deja vu. Also liked bani, desert rain, and tres ojos. Most are unique scents. Hats off to the perfumer. Bit disappointed because I read that the set came with a 60 coupon to buy a full bottle but didn’t see one. I don’t know that I would pay full price for any of them but if I saw deja vu or bani on discounters I might pull the trigger. Gonna revisit the set in awhile to see if my opinion changes. They all smell like they have used really good quality materials btw. Overall really happy I got to try them. Also the little note inside is a nice touch.
I read the brief and the notes and thought: "This is such an interesting idea, but will probably be more novel than wearable." I was proved so wrong and couldn't be happier about it. This is impressively wearable, perfectly unisex and long-lasting. Someone else left a review to the effect that it's BOTH clean AND gourmand. Well-blended BUT you can identify those nostalgic notes. Well done DAY THREE!
I lived in Orange County during a very formative time in my life and I have 2 distinct memories from that place. One, there are gorgeous star jasmine flowers all over the place that bloom in the late spring and summer. Two, I took many therapeutic drives down PCH with the window down to fill my lungs with that California coastal air. The first whiff of DAY THREE Del Mar eau de parfum instantly brought me back to that season of my life in the most wonderful way. It is local paradise in a bottle.
By the way, though perfect on their own, Del Mar and Bani are the ultimate fun summer layering combo!
